CENTERTON, Arkansas — A Bentonville woman was arrested on a negligent homicide charge almost a year after allegedly causing a fatal head-on collision in Centerton, according to court documents.
Caren Hardt, 67, was booked into the Benton County Jail on charges of negligent homicide, driving while intoxicated, driving left of center, and careless driving on Oct. 30, 2025. She's being held on a $75,000 bond.
The Benton County Sheriff's Office (BCSO) responded to a crash involving three vehicles on Highway 72 near Oak Tree Drive in Centerton on Nov. 14, 2024, according to a probable cause affidavit.
