BRYAN, Texas (KBTX) - College Station ISD voters decided a trio of races for the district’s Board of Trustees on Tuesday, potentially shifting the balance of power on the district’s seven-seat leadership team.

The likeliest path to victory on Tuesday was held by local philanthropist and public speaker Chris Field , who was the only candidate actively campaigning for the seat by the time of the election. Field was previously challenged by Grant Madsen, who withdrew from the race in October, but still garnered nearly 1 in 5 votes.
Field says his priority as a board member will be student safety, along with compensating and involving teachers.
