It's been quite a quarter century for Tamika Catchings .

The Indiana Fever 's all-time best player and Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame inductee has been named one of four recipients of NCAA Honors, which recognize post-graduate endeavors that "exemplify the spirit and values of collegiate athletics."

Other recipients this year include Purdue football player Drew Brees , Millersville tennis player Lauren Witmer and Simpson wrestler Nick Ackerman. They will be honored early next year.

Catchings played collegiately at Tennessee, leading the Lady Vols to two Final Fours, winning the 1998 national championship. She scored 2,113 points and had 1,004 rebounds at Tennessee. 'Force in the community': Tamika Catchings mural on Mass Ave shows 'she's not just a basketball star
