COLUMBIA, S.C. (WIS) - The Richland County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a second stabbing that happened this week at the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center.

According to RCSD, deputies were made aware of a fight on Wednesday, around 9:50 a.m., between two suspects and one victim.

During the investigation, it was learned that one of the suspects and the victim of the stabbing knew each other outside of the jail.

Deputies say the victim was attacked after returning from the outdoor recreational area and stabbed in the upper body with a sharp metal object.

The victim was treated for the injury at the jail and placed back into the unit.

According to law enforcement, the two suspects will be charged with Attempted Murder.
