ALLEN PARK -- Christian Mahogany will be out until at least December due to a broken bone in his left leg. And the Detroit Lions have officially placed the starting left guard on injured reserve.
Mahogany suffered the injury in the the fourth quarter of the team’s loss to the Minnesota Vikings. It was originally called a knee injury by the team during the game. But Mahogany was spotted on crutches with his left leg in a walking boot after the game this past Sunday.
The Lions are working through all of their option when it comes to filling the hole at left guard . Veteran guard Kayode Awosika is the top option off the bench, and the Lions sound like they will start there. But they are also considering Trystan Colon, and whether a move for Graham Glasgow from center to guard on the quest
