A tree trimmer is dead after possible contact with high-voltage wires in Beverlywood Wednesday afternoon.

The trimmer, a 48-year-old man whose name and city of residence have not been released, was about 30 feet above the ground in the 9300 block of Kirkside Road when the Los Angeles Fire Department responded just after 1:30 p.m., the LAFD said in an alert.

The man was found about 6 to 8 feet below high-voltage wires, and he was declared dead by paramedics on scene.

Power was shut down in the area, and firefighters are working to recover the man's body.

No further information is expected to be released.
