LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Dozens of first responders and federal aviation investigators remain on the scene of a UPS plane crash site south of Louisville’s international airport.
On Wednesday, officials said at least 12 people are dead and that number expected to rise. More than a dozen families have reported missing loved ones as well.
During a news conference Wednesday afternoon, U.S. Rep. Morgan McGarvey (D-Louisville) said Kentucky's entire federal delegation is working together to get all federal resources available to help in the aftermath.
“Louisville looked apocalyptic last night. The images of smoke coming over our city, of debris falling in every neighborhood. People trapped in their homes, for the families who lost someone, this is awful,” he said.
