The St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office has filed charges against a South Bend man in connection with the 2020 homicide of D’Shila Agnew. On Wednesday, authorities announced that Brandon D. McLeod, 36, has been charged with murder and a felony firearm enhancement in the death of Agnew, 25. South Bend Police responded to Agnew’s apartment in the 1000 block of Patty Lane on February 12, 2020, after family members expressed concern for her welfare. Upon entering, officers found Agnew deceased inside the residence. McLeod faces a possible sentence of 45 to 65 years for the murder charge, with an additional five to 20 years if convicted of the firearm enhancement.
