MADISON (WKOW) — Public Health Madison & Dane County is actively seeking information about a dog involved in a biting incident on Tuesday.

The incident occurred around 7:30 p.m. near 515 Moorland Road when a dog on a leash bit someone who was walking to their car, according to a press release.

The dog is described as a small, white "teddy bear" type with a green leash. The person walking the dog is described as a slim, black male, approximately 6 foot 2 and clean shaven, wearing a green sweater and jeans.

Public Health urges anyone with information to contact the Police and Fire Dispatcher at (608) 255-2345 and ask for an Animal Services Officer. If the dog is not found, the bite victim may need to undergo expensive rabies shots.
