BILOXI, Miss. (WLOX) - Hundreds are gathered at the Beau Rivage this week for the One Loud Voice conference, hosted by the Child Advocacy Center of Mississippi.

One Loud Voice provides training in detecting, investigating, and implementing healing interventions for child-targeted crimes.

Karla Tye, the CEO of CAC Mississippi, said this conference has helped establish protocols for crimes across the state.

“Every county had its own individual protocol, so 82 different responses. Now, starting October 1, we launched one statewide protocol,” said Tye. “We are really fortunate to be working with those other agencies to make sure our professionals are trained in that response and children are getting the best care possible.”

In 2024, about 8,100 child abuse victims nationwide received help
