AUGUSTA, Ga. (WRDW/WAGT) - TSA and air traffic control workers at Augusta Regional Airport have been working without pay for nearly a month, prompting local churches and businesses to organize meal support for the affected federal employees.

Despite the financial hardship, airport operations continued normally with no delays reported. Workers showed up to their posts even without receiving paychecks.

“Sometimes it’s tough to work when you get paid, but to have to work when you’re not getting paid is really tough. So I really wish they would come to an understanding for them,” said Blane Bailey, a traveler flying out of Augusta Regional Airport.
