AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) - As winter approaches, those without a place to stay are presented with new challenges.

Amarillo’s Coming Home program is once again partnering with local homeless shelters and transportation agencies this winter.

These shelters include the Guyon Saunders Resource Center and Transformation Park’s Safe Space.

As for transportation, the Coming Home program has partnered with the Amarillo City Transit to offer rides to shelters when weather is below freezing.

Coming Home coordinator Justin Ward says resources like this are essential, especially in the Panhandle.
