A monorail coach went off track and tilted near Wadala in Mumbai on November 5 during a track change operation, officials confirmed. There were no passengers inside the coach at the time of the mishap, which occurred during a test run as part of ongoing maintenance work.
The monorail train tilted during the test run at Wadala depot. In photos and videos shared on social media, the train appeared slightly tilted.
The accident was reported at 9 am. Two crew members were safely rescued from the monorail, a fire brigade official said. The Maha Mumbai Metro Rail Operations Limited has not shared any official statement on the incident so far.
