The life and legacy of former San Diego Padres owner and philanthropist Peter Seidler was further memorialized on Tuesday with the unveiling of a new street sign bearing his name near Petco Park.
The baseball team, along with the City of San Diego, presented the Peter Seidler Way street sign, which visitors can now find at the intersection of Trevor Hoffman Way and Park Boulevard in front of Petco Park, regarded as Seidler's second home.
Padres Chairman John Seidler, CEO Erik Greupner, Hall of Famer Trevor Hoffman, and San Diego Mayor Todd Gloria spoke during the unveiling to a crowd of family members, friends and Padres employees.
Visitors can find three new street signs located at both ends from Imperial Avenue to the MTS Garage and across the ballpark at Park 12.
