MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Over 40 cats were surrendered to a Madison rescue, marking the fourth major intake they have helped with this year.
Shelter from the Storm Animal Rescue says they have seen a recent increase in these kinds of situations, where pets multiply in abundance until it gets out of control. This is now stretching shelter limits, but they are finding ways to help every animal.
“I think that we’re lucky enough that within our organization, we have a lot of people who are really passionate about this and have experience with things like this,” explained Shelter from the Storm Chief Operating Officer, Payton Pritzl. “But at the same time, it definitely is overwhelming for anybody, even people like us who have a little bit more understanding of how to handle these types of situ
