ACPS announced on Facebook that a suspect has been arrested in connection to the death of Miracle, whose name was later discovered as Oak.
“What we wanted from this was accountability,” said ACPS Chief Michael Bricker. “Thanks to the hard work of the citizen, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, and our Animal Services Officer Stratton, it looks like we’re going to see exactly that.”
In a statement on social media, JSO says that they received "numerous" tips from social media and other sources, where they were able to identify the suspect, Dawn Lipford, 42.
