CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- Community members and officials from the City of Clovis were very vocal in their opposition to Proposition 50 leading up to the election, but now their focus is on preparing for the redistricting.

With Proposition 50 set to change Central California's congressional landscape, Clovis remains one of the most talked-about cities in the state, as it will now go from a city with one congressional representative to being split between three separate districts.

"If you take a look at how those lines are drawn, it really is eliminating rural voices and in exchange putting leaders in place from metropolitan areas, and they just don't understand the issues that we face in the rural parts of this state," said Former Clovis Mayor and Fresno County Supervisor Nathan Magsig.
