BERNALILLO COUNTY, N.M. (KRQE) – The Bernalillo County Sheriff said deputies have wrapped up a first-of-its-kind crime-fighting operation in the Bosque, months after a handful of fires left acres of damage near Tingley Beach. "Operation Bosque Guardian" kicked off in July with deputies and drones patrolling the Albuquerque bosque. They call it a success not only in stopping fires, but also in taking out dozens of homeless camps.

"I think it has been a great success," said Lt. Kyle Woods with the Bernalillo County Sheriff’s Office and the Criminal Investigations Unit.
