Ahead of their pivotal Week 10 road game against the San Francisco 49ers, the Los Angeles Rams have added some more beef and muscle to their roster — in the form of a kicker — by signing Harrison Mevis.
Harrison Mevis, AKA “The Thiccer Kicker,” is getting another shot in the NFL with an NFC heavyweight. On Wednesday, the Los Angeles Rams announced that they signed the 23-year-old kicker to their practice squad.
Not only is this newsworthy since it puts the pressure on Joshua Karty, but Mevis is not like any other kicker in American football. He’s listed at 6 feet in height and 242 pounds, the type of frame you’d expect of an NFL linebacker.
Per Stu Jackson of the Los Angeles Rams’ official team website, head coach Sean McVay said that Harrison Mevis and veteran Joshua Karty will compete
