The Buellton City Council has committed $450,000 toward construction of the Santa Ynez Valley Community Aquatics Complex, a regional facility planned for the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School campus.
The vote, taken at the council’s Oct. 23 meeting, makes Buellton the latest city to formally pledge support for the $13.7 million project.
The move follows the City of Solvang’s $450,000 contribution in June , and brings total fundraising for the complex to more than $4.5 million, according to the Santa Ynez Valley Community Aquatics Foundation.
