Those are the words of Calgary’s get-tough top cop Katie McLellan.

She says these words more than once. She will use the words if you ask her why this city has to get serious about the crime and social disorder in this city.

That is why there are 100 police officers on duty, gathering in the East Village, ready to go into the downtown on something they call Operation Order .

They are hitting hot spots, trouble spots, places where uniforms on the street are a welcome sight to the law-abiding among us, places where everyone has some kind of weapon, where this day and every day the police officers will run into criminals as well as street souls in need of help.
