GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) - The third time’s the charm! For the first time in program history.

The Branford Lady Bucs Volleyball team is your 2025 Rural STATE CHAMPIONS!!!

The Lady Bucs were forced into a fifth set and set the tone keeping Chipley at bay, winning it 15 to 9.

Branford fought off a hot Chipley squad that had won 15 straight wins and thanks to the adversity on their side early in the season. Branford used that chip on their shoulder to end the Tigers’ winning streak and bring the title back to Branford.

The Lady Bucs carried their momentum from Tuesday into today where Branford was up to a point, 19-10 and held Chipley to only three points after.

However, Chipley rebounded in a huge way to take Set 2, 25-11.
