TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — As is tradition, Lizzie Adkins and Amanda Page were showered with voices singing "Happy Birthday" to them Wednesday. But this was a particularly special year for them. It was the hundredth time they've heard the song.

Both born in 1925, the two women who reside at the Progress Village Senior Center in Tampa are only a few months apart. Adkins' birthday falls on Sept. 10, while Page will be hitting the significant milestone on Dec. 29.

They were honored in a joint celebration at the senior center Wednesday, marking a time for reflection on the 100 years — or nearly 100 years — they've experienced and a moment to enjoy how far they've come.
