SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — The City of San Angelo’s September health inspections report indicates which establishments were inspected and what the most — and least—sanitary food establishments in town are.
According to the City of San Angelo, all food establishment inspections performed by the City are conducted per the Texas Food Establishment Rules. The inspections utilize a demerit system, which is as follows:
0-10 demerits = excellent
11-20 demerits = good
21-30 demerits = acceptable
31 or more = poor
The city stated that “the food establishment inspection report involves checking against 47 different violations, each scoring from one to three points in demerits.”
