Prime Minister Narendra Modi met the victorious Indian women’s cricket team at his residence on Wednesday, commending the players for their “remarkable resilience and comeback" in the World Cup after enduring a tough phase marked by three consecutive defeats.

The Prime Minister also acknowledged the social media trolling the players faced after their early setbacks and praised their exemplary mental strength to bounce back and make history.
