One woman is dead after a collision in Scarborough Wednesday evening, Toronto police say.

The collision happened just before 7 p.m. near Markham Road and Finch Avenue E., when a pick-up truck crashed in an “industrial area,” police said on X, formerly Twitter.

A woman died on the scene, police say. A man was taken to the hospital with serious but non-life threatening injuries, according to paramedics.

Police are asking witnesses to contact them.
