CLEVELAND, Ohio — A 13-year-old boy suffered serious injuries after he was shot Wednesday afternoon on Cleveland’s West Side, according to safety officials.
The shooting occurred just after 3 p.m. near West 86th Street and Denison Avenue, sending the teen to MetroHealth Medical Center with serious injuries, Cleveland EMS spokeswoman Commander Ellen Kazimer confirmed.
Officials have not yet determined the specific circumstances surrounding the incident, and no arrests have been made in connection with the shooting, according to Sgt. Wilfredo Diaz, a spokesman for Cleveland police.
Authorities indicated that additional details about the shooting will be released as more information becomes available.
