MINNEAPOLIS — In January, four new Minneapolis City Council members will begin their terms as nine incumbents hold on to their seats.

Pearll Warren, Soren Stevenson and Jamison Whiting will represent Wards 5, 8 and 11, respectively. Elizabeth Shaffer unseated incumbent Katie Cashman in Ward 7. Warren, Whiting and Shaffer are backed by the political committee All of Minneapolis, which also supports Mayor Jacob Frey.

"Whether you voted for me or not, whether you like me or not, we have an opportunity right now to put aside differences and do what is right for Minneapolis,” Frey said on Wednesday after winning re-election .
