SMYRNA, Tenn. (WKRN) — A Middle Tennessee mayor is touting big achievements.

Recently, the Smyrna mayor delivered her annual State of the Town address.

She shared updates on crime, infrastructure projects and more.

"Smyrna's story is one of growth, resilience and connection," Smyrna Mayor Mary Esther Reed said. "A story written about each one of you."

That's the message from Reed as she updated residents about the state of the town.

"Over the past five years, Smyrna has received more than $83 million in development fees, utility tap fees, and state and local grants," she said. "These dollars have gone into improving infrastructure, public safety and essential services across our community."
