COLUMBIA, S.C. — It's been a beautiful stretch of weather across the Midlands , but big changes are on the way as the region braces for its first freeze early next week.

Tonight, skies will stay clear with overnight lows falling into the mid 40s.

Thursday and Friday will both feature clear skies and plenty of sunshine. Morning lows will start in the mid to upper 40s, with afternoon highs in the low to mid 70s. This makes for perfect weather for any outdoor plans.

Saturday will bring a quick moving cold front, adding a few clouds but keeping highs warm in the upper 70s. Sunday will be a touch cooler with highs in the mid 70s. A very isolated chance of rain is possible on Sunday late in the day or overnight.
