LOVELADY, Texas (KLTV) - “They truly are a little family like that,” Lovelady head coach Will Kirchhoff said.

The Lovelady Lions came into the 2025 season with 16 seniors on the football field.

And last Friday night, those seniors finished their final regular season game out at Lion Stadium with a shut out over the Cushing Bearcats 35-0.

“This senior group is so special to have 16 of them at our size school, go through the program all the way through it and just continue to grow in fantastic young men on and off the field,” Kirchhoff said.

But what makes these seniors so special isn’t just the size of the class in a town with a population of less than a thousand.

It’s how they all find the spotlight, week in and week out.
