NACOGDOCHES, Texas (KTRE) - The SFA Lumberjacks kicked off the Matt Braeuer era against the Millsaps Majors.

A season ago, the Lumberjacks struggled heavily from behind the arc, shooting 29% from three on the season.

It may only be game one, but the ‘Jacks are already off to a better start from three, drilling 8-16 from beyond the arc.

Trinidad State transfer Lateef Patrick Jr. led the way in the first half with 12 points, all of them coming from three.

This helped SFA jump out to a 21-2 lead five minutes into the first half.

The Majors wouldn’t be held down forever, however, cutting the lead down to 12 with just under 10 minutes left to play in the first half.

The ‘Jacks would respond by pushing the lead to 21 after a seven-point run late in the first, and they’d take a 22-point lea
