The technology's rapid adoption rate surpasses all historical precedents. ChatGPT reached 100 million users in just two months, making it the fastest-growing technology in human history, according to Professor Seitz, who studies AI's economic impact.

"It is the fastest changing technology in the history of mankind," Seitz said. "Most people compare it to the internet. That's the closest analogy we have.
