LAS VEGAS ( FOX5 ) — It’s SEMA SHOW’s second day at the Las Vegas Convention Center. As part of the event, local people in need are getting hooked up with cars.
Seven people, including families, single parents and two veterans, were each given a refurbished car thanks to local donors.
One veteran was injured in a car crash and couldn’t get around easily. And multiple people had their cars stolen. That includes a mother who just battled cancer while also caring for her adult son with disabilities and for her father, who was also recently diagnosed with cancer.
“My vehicle got stolen not once, but twice…,” said Rachida Tucker, who received a refurbished car.
Thanks to her new car, Tucker will be able to take much better care of herself, her son and her dad.
