HONOLULU (Island News) – The Hawaii Department of Health (DOH) is launching an initiative to encourage hemp retailers and distributors to comply with new regulations, aiming to protect the public health and maintain market integrity.
According to the DOH Office of Medical Cannabis Control and Regulation (OMCCR), Act 269, signed into law in July, requires all businesses selling manufactured hemp products (MPH) in Hawaii to register with the OMCCR by January 1, 2026. This applies to both in-state and out-of-state businesses, including online sellers.
