Strictly Business has pulled off a monumental upset to win the $1 million Oaks over 2500m at Flemington on Thursday.

In just her fourth career start, the filly stormed home to beat short-priced favourite Getta Good Feeling and announce herself as a stayer of the future.

Getta Good Feeling faded badly to finish sixth with The Pearls and After Summer completing the top three.

It caps an incredible two weeks for Strictly Business, who won her maiden race in Ballarat over 1400m at the end of October.

It was also a fairytale for Ballarat trainer Thomas Carberry with Thursday’s race the first time he had a Group 1 runner, let alone the winner.
