Gina Minichiello recorded a hat trick and an assist to spark second-seeded Hasbrouck Heights to a 7-0 victory against 15th-seeded Weehawken in the first round of North Jersey Section 2, Group 1 Tournament in Hasbrouck Heights.

Hasbrouck Heights’ win sends it through to the quarterfinal round where it will host seventh-seeded New Providence, which blanked 10th-seeded Cedar Grove by a score of 3-0.

Minichiello started and ended the scoring, tallying the first, sixth and seventh goals for the Aviators.

Ella Vitale found the back of the net twice while Khloe Olano and Madison Lahullier rounded things out with one goal apiece for Hasbrouck Heights (13-7).

Weehawken’s 2025 season comes to a close with a 9-9 record.
