The FBI Indianapolis is taking part in a groundbreaking Homeland Security Task Force aimed at tackling violent crime nationwide. This initiative, led by the FBI and Homeland Security Investigations, targets cartels, terrorist groups, and gangs involved in serious crimes like homicide, kidnapping, and drug smuggling.

"The FBI, HSI and our law enforcement partners stand united behind a single, unwavering mission: protecting the American people," said Timothy J. O'Malley, special agent in charge of FBI Indianapolis.

The task force brings together federal, state, and local agencies across all 50 states to combat these threats. "No single agency can tackle the scale and complexity of the threats we face alone," said Tom Wheeler, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Indiana.
