A 'kind and funny' young man died from a morphine overdose at a hotel in Thailand, an inquest has concluded.

Connor Abbott, 23, was found unresponsive in a room at the D and D Inn Hotel In Khaosan Road, Bangkok, on September 22 last year.

North Yorkshire coroner Jon Heath held an Inquest in Writing this week. The medical cause of his death was given as morphine toxicity. Mr Heath concluded that Connor's death was drug-related.

In a Record of Inquest, Mr Heath said: "On 22 September 2024, Connor William Abbott was found unresponsive in a room at the D and D Inn Hotel, 68-70 Talot Yot, Pra Nakhon Set, Bangkok, Thailand. His death there was confirmed that day."
