Morehead State men's basketball coach Jonathan Mattox is making a homecoming Sunday, Nov. 9, when the Eagles stop in Athens for a game against Mike White's Georgia squad.

"It'll be fun (coming back and) getting to see family and friends," Mattox said. "Something you never really kind of imagine, growing up in Athens and now you get to return home as a head coach to play against Georgia . Definitely a full circle moment."

Mattox, born in Athens and raised in Watkinsville, graduated from Oconee County High School in 2006, where he spent four years playing varsity basketball under Brian Dickens. He attended several basketball camps throughout his youth at Georgia .
