ONE TALKS, ONE ACTS

The contrast between Prime Minister Mark Carney and President Donald Trump could not be clearer. Carney is all talk and Trump is all action. Article content Article content Article content

But why is Trump so effective? The United States has much of what the world needs, and Trump

is a master negotiator who is willing to provide if he can get what the U.S. requires: foreign investment in America and open markets for U.S. products.

On the other hand, Canada has abundant resources that the world has asked for, but Carney cannot and will not deliver. Simply put, Canada has little or nothing to barter with.
