LOUISVILLE, Ky. — LMPD was dispatched just after 7:45 p.m. Wednesday to the 7800 block of Manslick Road.

Officers found an adult male inside a residence with a gunshot wound. LMPD provided first aid until EMS and the Fairdale Fire Department arrived. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The department’s homicide unit has taken over the investigation. Detectives are working to determine what led to the shooting and any possible motive.
