A victim of William Beggs has claimed the 'Limbs in the loch killer' stalked him in Edinburgh after his release from prison.

William Beggs was jailed for six years for a serious assault on Brian McQuillan at Begg's home in Kilmarnock in 1991 but was released after just three years.

At the time there was no witness notification scheme and Brian was unaware he had been let out.

It wasn't until Brian bumped into Beggs after their cars passed each other in the street that he became aware. Beggs then allegedly began to turn up at various pubs he visited with friends in the Glasgow and Edinburgh areas.

At one point the police came to his home saying Beggs had made a complaint against him and had even supplied his address, reports The Daily Record.
