PERRY TWP. – Police officer Andrea Blanc has been named the Ohio School Resource Officer of the Year for 2025.

Blanc, 43, has been with the Perry Police Department for 14 years, and has been assigned to Perry Local Schools since 2014.

She was the winner among approximately 700 school resource officers statewide.

The award recognizes an officer who goes above and beyond in their service, building strong relationships with students, staff and families, in addition to leaving a lasting impact on the schoolcommunity.

"It was a shock (to win) and an honor to be so greatly appreciated," said Blanc about her selection, which was announced this summer at a statewide convention. "I'm really thankful to the school, students and staff here for their openness and caring."
