Notre Dame High School will break ground on a new state-of-the-art facility on Friday, marking a significant milestone in the Bethlehem Township school’s history.
The Most Reverend Alfred A. Schlert, bishop of Allentown and a 1979 graduate of the school, will lead the ceremony.
The project comes after the demolition of the original one-story annex building, which hosted countless sporting events and served as a central hub of campus life for generations of students. It dated back to the 1970s.
Township commissioners approved plans in April that show a new three-story, 19,580-square-foot field house that would be connected to other campus buildings by crosswalk, according to a report by LehighValleyNews.com
