CHICAGO — Police are searching for answers on Thursday morning after a man was found shot to death in an alley on the city's South Side overnight.

Chicago police say officers were first called to the scene in the 7200 block of South Sagamon Street, in Englewood, just before 11:30 p.m., following a report of a person shot in the area.

Officers arrived on the scene and found an adult male, whose age has not yet been determined, unresponsive in an alley.

The victim had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead on the scene.

Currently, it is unclear what led to the shooting and officers say no arrests have been made.
