Star Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Azam Khan has said that although his statement might be misconstrued, going by the record in ICC events, there is no rivalry between India and Pakistan, as he backed Suryakumar Yadav’s comment on the same, which the latter had made during the Asia Cup.
Azam’s fiery comment on the India-Pakistan rivalry may not go down well with PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi and could further jeopardise his already uncertain international career.
In a chat with Crickwick , Azam backed Suryakumar Yadav’s claim that the India-Pakistan rivalry has lost its old edge.
“If you see the ICC tournaments, I think… I don’t know if I should say this, but technically, he (Suryakumar) is correct," Azam said.
