Prime Minister Mark Carney has been rubbing shoulders with financially astute global leaders for years. Carney earned a doctorate in economics in 1995 and held a number of roles at the investment bank Goldman and Sachs. He has been the Governor of the Bank of Canada and the Bank of England. In 2019, Carney was appointed by the UN General Secretary-General to be his Special Envoy on Climate Action and Finance.
