COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 40-year-old was arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting on the city’s south side on Halloween night , according to the Columbus Division of Police.
An arrest warrant was filed for Jason Muse on Thursday and he was arrested without incident, police said in an update. Muse is charged with murder in the shooting death of 47-year-old Cecil Davidson Jr.
The shooting happened on South Ohio Avenue at Frebis Avenue around 8:15 p.m. on Halloween. Columbus police found Davidson shot.
He was taken to Grant Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
Police said investigators found that Davidson was involved in an argument with Muse before the shooting.
Muse is expected to appear in Franklin County Municipal Court on Friday.
