Fall River police arrested five people and seized several motorcycles after a street takeover Sunday night.
The takeover began around 3:15 p.m. Sunday and lasted until 6 p.m., during which time 50-100 people rode around on dirt bikes, ATVs, scooters and motorcycles. The group "congregated on city streets, disregarding traffic laws while performing reckless stunts," according to police.
In doing so, they put “not only their lives at risk, but the lives of innocent, law-abiding drivers and pedestrians at risk," police said in a statement . In addition to making five arrests, police seized four motorcycles, an ATV and a scooter.
